Josh Dorfman is an environmental entrepreneur, author, speaker, and radio personality. He is the founder & CEO of Vivavi, a provider of contemporary, eco-friendly furniture and furnishings, working with over forty of today's leading edge sustainable designers. In 2006, he launched ModernGreenLiving.com, Vivavi's companion resource that helps consumers find green homes and green building experts throughout North America. Inc. Magazine has called Vivavi one of the fifty most intriguing companies helping to drive today's green revolution.
Josh's media ventures center on The Lazy Environmentalist, the environmental talk radio show airing live daily throughout North America on Lime Radio on Sirius Satellite (Channel 114) for which he is the creator, producer, and host. His book, The Lazy Environmentalist: Your Guide To Easy, Stylish, Green Living, was published in June 2006. Dwell Magazine dubbed it "a guide to going green without resorting to Birkenstocks and brown rice casserole."
As a green lifestyle expert, Josh has appeared on the Martha Stewart Show as well as on MSNBC, Bravo, and the Discovery Health Channel. He currently serves as the spokesperson for the FilterForGood campaign, a partnership between Brita and Nalgene that encourages consumers to reduce their plastic water bottle waste. He is also a member of the National Advisory Council for the Arts and Environment for the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts.
Prior to creating Vivavi, Josh worked for corporations, think tanks, and internet startups in Asia, Europe and the U.S. including Delphi Auto Systems in France, the Economist Intelligence Unit in Hong Kong, and Kryptonite Bike Locks in China. Josh earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management.
