1. What criteria do you use when selecting products?
Our products must satisfy to two sets of criteria. First, they must be beautifully designed with attention to quality and function. Second, they must minimize our environmental footprint and promote human and planetary health. In essence, we celebrate beautiful design that respects mankind’s relationship with nature.
2. What kinds of materials are used in your products?
To the greatest extent possible our designers create products using non-toxic materials. The EPA has declared that indoor air quality is on average 3 to 10 worse than outdoor air quality. This relates directly to the materials that inform everything in our homes from the paint on the walls to the glues in our furniture. We offer alternatives that never sacrifice on quality or design and are healthier for ourselves, our homes and our planet.
We source products made with renewable materials that replenish quickly like bamboo. We source wood products that are certified to have been responsibly harvested by governing bodies like the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
We also sell products made from recycled materials but only if those materials are appropriate for their new purposes. While we applaud recycling efforts by designers, at Vivavi we only sell recycled products that support healthy home interiors.
3. Do you have a showroom where I can view products in person?
Yes. Our showroom is now open in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We are one stop into Brooklyn from Manhattan on the L subway line. We're conveniently located less than a half mile from the Brooklyn Queens Expressway on the northern edge of trendy Williamsburg. Click here for Directions and Hours.
4. What is Vivavi's position on labor practices?
Sustainable design is about enjoying beautiful products created in ways that support and sustain life. It’s about being responsible stewards of the planet. To separate environment and labor from one another in any definition of sustainability makes no sense. We are all members of the human species and as such as we are all part of the environment.
The products we sell are, therefore, designed to support human and planetary health and are created by workers who earn a fair wage for their labor. In this regard, we see sustainable design as the essence of our highest ideals for ourselves and for humanity.

6. How do you ship products and how quickly will you fill my order?
Items such as furniture require specialized shipping procedures. For U.S. customers, large furniture items ship with our deluxe "White Glove Service." Our delivery specialists will bring items into your home, unwrap them, place them wherever you like, and remove all debris.
Unless otherwise stated on our product pages, your order will normally ship within 3-5 business days. Many of our products are hand-crafted with fine attention to detail. 7. Do you ship to customers outside the United States?
Yes. We can ship our products (including furniture) internationally to most locations around the world. 8. What is The Modern Green Living Home Directory?
The Directory is a new service coming soon from Vivavi. Over the last year, we have identified a need for a centralized location where consumers can quickly locate green design and building professionals to help design, build, furnish, remodel, or find a green home.
The green home industry is growing and evolving. As consumers, it can be confusing to stay on top of the latest trends and to try to figure out all the green options available to us. The Directory helps remove the guesswork by connecting consumers quickly with expert professionals and services near them who can make their green projects take form.

9. What happens if I don't want what I bought?
Simple. Return it. We guarantee all of our products for the first 30 days after you receive them. See our returns policy for additional information.
10. How secure is my private and financial information when shopping on your website?
We use the latest 128bit encryption technology (Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL) to secure your personal information. The information you provide when you place an order is encrypted (or coded) using a secure server for maximum security. This coding makes it extremely difficult for anyone to reach your information as it moves through our ordering system. Our security provider is Geo Trust. 11. What employment opportunities do you offer?
